Platinum palladium photographs come from a traditional photographic printmaking technique that predates silver gelatin prints. Unparalleled by any modern printing technique, they are the most durable of all photographic processes.

In the early days of photography, platinum palladium prints were originally exposed by using the sun. This severely limited fine art photographers until the digital age. Today we are able create what are known as digital negatives, and expose them onto fine art papers using UV light. The final print is created using contact printing, meaning the photographic negative is as large as the final print.

The tonal range of platinum palladium photographic prints are unmatched both in appearance and performance even by modern digital inkjet printers. The platinum palladium printing technique is unrivaled, masters of this process are not easy to find. Even more stable than gold, they are incredibly stable against chemical reactions that may degrade the print. As a result they are favored by art collectors because of their longevity and appearance.
