A digital memento mori inspired by the artist’s encounter with a fallen tree as he took a lakeside walk. This piece channels his own struggles with depression and a long-sought quest for hope. Accompanying this video is a poetic reflection written by the artist in verse, enmeshing the lyricism of life, death, and fear.

I wish I were as brave as a tree and be as little vain. You stand afar and make a harmless show. Your not proud you know your place for you are just as much a part of the same earth. Will you teach me to see life like you and not to fear?
